Q: Tell us about your company:

A: NVD Property & Project Management is a location agency with an unrivalled portfolio that specialises in finding you the perfect venue or luxury villa for your accommodation, event or shoot enquiry.

Q: How has being a member of WPO helped your business?

A: Helped me to critically evaluate the performance of my company and great to have the support of likeminded women in business. Attending a WPO meeting feels like presenting to an exco team where each member offers a diverse level of expertise.

Q: What’s your favourite WPO event you’ve attended?

A: I joined after they had the WPO SA 10 year Conference & Retreat in July 2019, and the Montreal conference is next month. I really enjoyed the Neuro-Marketing workshop held on 22 November 2019.

Q: What challenges have you faced as a woman in business?

A: The challenges I face on a daily basis are business related and not specific to me as a woman.

Q: What inspired you to start your business?

A: I’m extremely dedicated to what I do and decided to focus this dedication on building my own brand and company vs growing someone else’s. Once I took the leap, I’ve never looked back.

Q: What advice would you give to other women entrepreneurs?

A: If you are willing to work really hard – believe in yourself, just take the leap and start your own business. Yes it is scary and you will have sleepless nights, but at the end of the day you will (hopefully) always look back and think why did I not do it sooner? Always get everything in writing – if you discuss something on the phone – follow it up with an email so that you have a paper trail.

Q: What’s the best business advice you’ve ever received?

A: Always get everything in writing.

Q: What's your favourite quote?

A: “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view… until you climb in his skin and walk around in it” – To Kill A Mocking Bird
