Introducing a powerhouse behind South Africa's communications landscape – Tara Turkington, an esteemed member of the Women Presidents Organization (WPO) Johannesburg Chapter II. 🌟

Tara's journey is the embodiment of building dreams from scratch. As the CEO of Flow Communications (www.flowsa.com) and Flow Travel (www.flow.travel), she nurtured Flow from a humble home office into a powerhouse in marketing and communications.

Flow Communications, founded in 2005 in her home's spare bedroom, has blossomed into one of South Africa's most prominent communications companies. Flow has completed projects in over 30 countries and has won over 100 industry awards.

Empowerment echoes throughout Flow's DNA – it's 67% women-owned, with women comprising over 70% of its workforce and a majority representation in both the Board and management.

Founded in 2019, Flow Travel (www.flow.travel) is a bespoke travel company organising events, conferences and trips for small groups and individuals all over the world, from Argentina to Zambia.

Tara's accolades are numerous: an awardee of the International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC), recognition in Mail & Guardian's Book of South African Women, participation in the EY Winning Women programme, and winning the New Generations Best Individual Influencer Marketer of the Year Award.

Her dedication extends beyond business – she's passionate about wildlife, photography, and travel. Tara often speaks at conferences, serves on award panels, and as a member of WPO, she adds her influence to empower fellow women in leadership.

Tara's story is one of tenacity, innovation, and uplifting women's voices. Join us in celebrating her journey that's transforming industries and inspiring generations! 🚀👏
